Join Carmen Mardonez and Hannah Payne for a special London Gallery Weekend walkthrough event at TM Gallery, Friday 5 June, 4-6 pm.
Taking place within Carmen’s solo exhibition Chromatic Solace, presented by Hannah Payne Art at TM Gallery, this informal walking talk offers the opportunity to hear directly from Carmen about her creative process, career journey, large-scale textile works and evolving practice.
Together we’ll discuss the ideas, materials and stories behind the exhibition — including the monumental six-metre title work ahead of its museum presentation in Philadelphia next year.
This event is especially aimed at studying and early career artists, textiles students, makers and creatives interested in contemporary art, craft, colour, materiality and exhibition-making — though all are warmly welcome.
Come and ask questions, meet fellow creatives, enjoy a drink and spend time with one of the most exciting emerging voices in contemporary textile art.
