This summer, Hannah Payne Art returns to Worton Kitchen Garden with a selection of paintings created by Oxford-based artist Robin Danely during her residency at the gardens in August and September 2025.

Working among Worton’s abundant late-summer planting, Danely spent the residency observing and painting its flowers, with the garden’s dahlias becoming a particular focus. The resulting still lifes celebrate the colour, form and vitality of their subjects through expressive brushwork and richly worked oil paint.

A year later, the paintings return to the place that inspired them, installed at Worton as the dahlias once again come into bloom.

The works can be viewed at Worton Kitchen Garden throughout August and September 2026, alongside further works available through this online Viewing Room.
